Former US President Barack Obama made public comments for the first time - 3 months after leaving office.

44 US president spoke at 3 to hundreds of students at the University of Chicago. This meeting was held in the framework of Obama’s earlier goal “to encourage and support a new generation of leaders.”

Obama's speech, as noted CNN, it became symbolic, since it coincided with the 100-day term of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Obama does not openly oppose Trump, but is willing to comment on any particular political issue affecting areas where he and Trump clearly disagree, the source said, citing an ex-president’s advisor.

Obama’s main ideas, according to his adviser, are currently contrary to Trump’s plans Obamacare, foreign policy and climate change issues.

After losing Hillary Clinton, supported by Barack Obama, he is still not interested in returning to politics, a CNN adviser said: "When the time comes, he will be a backstage consultant, and it is not necessary to be in the front row right now."
