Obama accused Russia of intensifying aggression in Ukraine
US President Barack Obama at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg accused Russia of taking an increasingly aggressive stance against Ukraine.
“We had the opportunity to discuss the situation in Ukraine, as well as the increasingly aggressive position that Russia is taking,” Obama said after talks with Stoltenberg.
Both politicians once again emphasized that the parties to the conflict must respect the Minsk agreements, which, according to the NATO Secretary General, can still be “the path to peace.”
The Russian president's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that Obama's words do not need comment, since the Kremlin "has already heard statements of this kind."
The OSCE Mission to Donbass reported on Tuesday that the Minsk agreements are constantly being violated by both sides of the conflict.
