His film “Holiday”, which has not yet been released, is a black comedy about the privileged position of one family in besieged Leningrad. A table with dishes and jokes about the Bolshevik Party does not fit in with the picture of the largest humanitarian catastrophe of the twentieth century. The director, who shot the film with his own money, was condemned by patriotic politicians, social activists and bloggers.

In recent years, only talk about what you can not laugh. An inaccurate questioning about the blockade became a spectacular and effective reason for excluding Dozhd TV channel from cable networks.

And the authorities tried not to let the cinemas play the thrash comedy “Death of Stalin” due to disrespect for the Soviet Union.

However, Kelly will not disappear - she has already been called to Channel One in Russia, and NBC will pay her contractual millions of dollars. But in the USA they again spoke of the dictate of political correctness.

The rules urge to avoid words that may offend someone - people of a certain nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender, other features of life. Horrified by the many bans, not only conservatives, but also people of democratic beliefs.

Actor Gennady Smirnov is the author of many satirical songs. He wrote and performed such hits as “We can help the Rothenberg”, “What we were Bulk” and “I call you my Mizulin’s name”.

It was Elena Mizulina, as a State Duma deputy, who introduced laws such as the ban on gay propaganda and the fight against American adoptive parents of Russian orphans. Smirnov says the difference between Russian and American political correctness is that it is forbidden to do what others are allowed to do. Mizulina is a prime example of this rule.
