'Oh my God! My children ": father killed five children and traveled with their bodies around the USA

The inconsolable mother cried all the time while testifying about the death sentence to her ex-husband, who is accused of killing their five young children.

37-year-old Jones is accused of killing five children. His lawyers do not dispute that he killed the children, but they are seeking to be found not guilty as a result of the madness.

There are four possible outcomes of events: guilty, guilty because of insanity, innocent due to mental state or innocent.

The prosecution alleges that he killed a furious 6-year-old Nakhtan after he discovered that the boy had broken an outlet in their house near Lexington in August 2014 of the year.

Jones then strangled 8-year-old Mera and 7-year-old Elias with his hands and strangled 2-year-old Gabriel and XNUMX-year-old Abigail with a belt, prosecutors said.

After killing the children, according to the police, Jones wrapped their bodies in polyethylene and placed them in his SUV, aimlessly driving around the southeastern United States for nine days. Then he left their bodies on top of a hill in Camden, Alabama.

Jones was arrested in Smith County, Mississippi, at a checkpoint where a police officer felt a strong smell coming from the car. He called it the "smell of death."

Prosecutors called the pathologist who made the autopsy of the children, but did not show the photos in court.

Defense lawyers wanted to be shown, because it might help justify Jones' madness, but district judge Eugene Griffith refused.

Moments of murder

Jones said he was angry with Nakhtana for breaking an electrical outlet. He was afraid that the 6-year-old boy was preparing to kill him.

Jones added that he noticed the death of his son a few hours later. The pathologist claims that the boy died as a result of violence, but which one she could not identify.

“I started hearing voices,” Jones recalled when he found the boy dead.

Then he began to kill the rest of the children.

Everything changed after the wedding

During the trial, the woman said that she fell in love with Jones because he was smart and educated. But after they got married, he became tough to her and demanding.

“A woman should be seen, not heard. I just had to take care of the kids so they wouldn't disturb him,” Kaiser said.

After the divorce, Kaiser could not afford a lawyer, so she agreed to the joint residence of the children with Jones, who kept them.

Jones worked as an Intel Computer Engineer with a salary of $ 80 000 per year. Every Saturday, the mother went to the children.

But 28 August 2014, everything snapped. Kaiser told the court that, as usual, she called Tim on the phone.

When Jones answered the call, she heard Nakhtan crying and asked the boy what had happened.

“Mom, I didn’t mean to,” Nahant said.

Then Jones asked her why she always protects the children, and when she answered, he told her to "shut up" and hung up.

This was the last time she heard the voice of her son.

On Saturday, September 6 2014, Kaiser went to the police. Jones never showed up.

Emotional court hearing

As part of her testimony against her husband, Amber Kaiser read the letter. She wrote it to her eldest daughter Merah Jones, trying to comfort her because of a divorce.

“You kids are my world, and Mom and Dad were really happy that you accepted their decision,” Kaiser said, pausing, then dropped her head into her hands and began sobbing nonstop.

Kaiser’s former husband, Timothy Jones Jr., was looking at her without any emotion.

The 30-minute break was announced in the trial so that Kaiser could calm down. Lawyer Boyd Young asked her only a few questions.

She said that Jones was a good father when they were married, but he seems to have mental problems after they divorced.

His attorneys stated in their opening statement that Jones's mother had been in a mental hospital for 20 for years, and she was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
