“Lower-wage workers have often been on the front lines of service industries with high levels of COVID-19 exposure,” said Anthony Rendon. “This will help them make ends meet.”
The $ 3,8 billion payout program is the result of weeks of negotiations between lawmakers after Newsom first proposed the payout in January.
