Ukrainka collected $ 170 thousand for unique scarves and blankets. VIDEO
Anna Marinenko’s 27-year-old Ukrainian has already collected almost 170 thousand dollars in a popular KickStarter resource for your unique startup. The girl knits, without needles, voluminous wool scarves and blankets.
For his work, Marinenko uses special threads of merino wool, wound into huge balls. Instead of the spokes, the resourceful Kiev resident manages with his own hands.
His small business Anna opened in 2014 year.
“One day I discovered an unusual material that awakened my creative imagination,” Marinenko told New York’s Tech Insider. “I didn’t have any knitting needles, so I started knitting with my hands.”
The craftswoman was so tricky that, it seems, she knitted such blankets all her life. Now, in just a couple of hours, Anna Marinenko can create a veil with a size of 1,5 × 2 meters! And on her scarf takes about 30 minutes.
“This is not some new technique,” explains Anna. “I just wanted to share my vision of design with other people. Kickstarter is a great opportunity to expand production and become famous throughout the world.”
Marinenko, for example, sells his unique blankets for $900 (the price for a large luxury blanket). Such a high price is affected by the high cost of the material - merino wool threads. Scarves will cost customers $150, and carpets will cost $700.
Anna’s goal is to get her original products into leading networks in the USA and Europe.
