The punk band Pussy Riot, whose members were serving prison sentences earlier for the performance of the prayer “Mother of God, Put Putin Out” in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, released a new video.

The composition, called “Chaika,” according to the authors, exposes corruption in Russia and is dedicated personally to the Prosecutor General of Russia, Yuri Chaika, whose “immediate resignation” the girls from Pussy Riot are demanding.

According to the portal Afisha.ru, the music for “The Seagull” was composed by American Dave Sitek, creator of the group TV on The Radio. The main role in the video (an impudent female prosecutor) is played by Pussy Riot leader Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who raps, and the actresses of the Center named after. Meyerhold and “Teatr.doc” act as rap Valkyries.

In addition, as stated in the signature to published video, its authors demand a large-scale anti-corruption investigation against all members of the “prosecutor general’s criminal family.”

Punk band members Pussy Riot Maria Alekhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova went free in December 2013, after almost two years in the Mordovian and Nizhny Novgorod colonies, respectively. The sentence of their ex-comrade Ekaterina Samutsevich was later changed to a suspended sentence, as she did not directly participate in the dance in the temple.
