Nissan recalls hundreds of thousands of cars in the US: they may suddenly open the hood
Nissan Motor is recalling more than 300 SUVs in the US because the hood suddenly opens, blocking the driver's view and increasing the risk of an accident, reports CNBC.
The North American division of the Japanese automaker said it was recalling 322 Pathfinder models between 671 and 2013.

Nissan said dirt and dust buildup on the secondary hood latch could cause it to remain open even when the hood is closed, potentially causing the latch to open without warning, according to a filing with the US regulator.
Nissan said the remedy is under development and will be sending out interim notices from June 29.
