Wisconsin Election Commissioner Says Donald Trump Is Still Trying To Undo His 2020 Election Defeat, Reports Yahoo.

Robin Vos, speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly, said in an interview on July 19 that Trump called him last week and urged him to withdraw confirmation of Joe Biden's victory in the state - 20 months after the 2020 election.

Vos told WISN-TV 12 News in Milwaukee that Trump brought up the subject days after the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled on July 8 that absentee ballot boxes were illegal in the state.

“It's very consistent. He does his job, which I respect,” Vos told the news outlet. “He would like us to do something different in Wisconsin.” I explained that this is prohibited by the Constitution. He has a different opinion on this matter.”

Vos's story takes place in the midst of a public hearing of a House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 uprising and Trump's attempt to reverse his reelection defeat.

Trump turned to Truth Social to voice his grievances against Vos.

“Looks like Speaker Robin Vos, a longtime RINO professional always looking to protect his flank, will do nothing about the astounding decision of the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” Trump wrote, using a slur that means “republican in name only.”

"The Democrats would like to sincerely thank Robin and all of his colleagues at RINO for allowing them to commit 'murder'," he added.

Vos told WISN-TV that the court's July 10 decision regarding the ballot boxes will affect the progress of the law and cannot be applied retroactively. Vos upheld the court's decision and called the storage urns "illegal".

Trump responded to an interview on July 19 evening by once again urging Vos to act. He wrote: “Now is not the time for him to hide, but the time to act!”

Biden defeated Trump by less than 21 votes in Wisconsin.

In 2021, Trump accused Vos of "working hard to cover up electoral corruption" after refusing to review the state's 2020 election results.

Vos eventually launched an investigation into the 2020 elections in his state. Vos himself has promoted electoral conspiracy theories and has baselessly claimed that electoral fraud in his state affected the 2020 election.
