'The virus is ruthless to the fragile': 19-week-old child died from COVID-6 in Connecticut
The number of cases of COVID-19 in the United States continues to increase: one of the last deaths from coronavirus infection was a 6-week-old child in Connecticut, writes Eastchester daily voice.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont said a newborn from the Hartford area died in late March after being found with no signs of life. The baby was taken to the hospital, but he could not be reanimated.
“Today, it is with heartbreaking sadness that we can confirm the first pediatric death in Connecticut related to COVID-19,” Lamont said on Wednesday afternoon, April 1.
According to the governor, medical workers were waiting for test results to confirm that the newborn died from complications associated with COVID-19.

“This is a virus that relentlessly attacks our most fragile people,” Lamont said. “It also highlights the importance of staying at home and limiting contact with other people. Your life and the lives of others may literally depend on it. Our prayers are with the family during this difficult time."
The state currently has 3557 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 85 reported deaths. As of Wednesday, April 1, 1986 cases were recorded in Fairfield County with 46 deaths.
