According to her, part of the salary of the US president will be used to develop new methods of treatment and prevention of COVID-19. He also wants to honor those who died from the virus.
In March, Trump donated his fourth-quarter salary to the Department of Health and Human Services to help fight the pandemic.

Previously, he gave part of his salary to various targeted efforts, including the fight against opioid dependence, a camp for the advancement of scientific, technological, engineering and mathematical (STEM) careers and projects to restore the National Battlefield at Entitym.
The president also made donations to the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Transportation, the National Park Service, the Department of Education, and the National Institute to Combat Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse.
