Made a comment about a face mask: in Michigan, a family killed a store guard

Three people are charged with the murder of a Family Dollar chain store guard in Flint, Michigan, who monitored store rules to ensure that everyone was wearing face masks. Writes about this Wowt.

Two men are still at large, and the woman has been arrested and is awaiting charges.

The suspected men are 44-year-old Larry Edward Teague and 23-year-old Ramonia Bishop. Teague's wife and Bishop's mother, 45-year-old Sharmel Teague, were arrested.

All three suspects are charged with first-degree murder, which entails life imprisonment in prison without the possibility of parole, if convicted.

Larry Teague and Bishop are also charged with several weapons, while Teague is additionally charged with violating Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s order to wear face masks in public.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Layton said Sharmel Teague and her daughter went to the store. Teague was wearing a mask, but her daughter was not.

Guard Calvin Munerlin insisted that her daughter wear a mask.

In April, Whitmer issued an order under which everyone who enters an enclosed area must wear a mask or cover his nose and mouth to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Family Dollar introduced this as a mandatory rule for buyers.

Sharmel Teague and Munerlin started a dispute over this rule. Leighton said that Sharmel Teague spat on Munerlin, who then ordered her to leave the store and told the teller to refuse their service.

The video from the surveillance cameras shows how Tig and her daughter exit the store and enter the neighboring River Village Apartments. A few minutes later, Sharmel Teague called Larry Teague.

About 20 minutes after Sharmel and her daughter left the store, Larry Teague and Bishop arrived at Family Dollar.

Leighton said the video shows Larry Teague and Bishop entering the store and starting to quarrel with Munerlin. Witnesses said they heard the suspects accuse Munerlin of disrespectful treatment of the woman.

During a quarrel, Bishop pulled out a pistol and shot 43-year-old Munerlin in the head. He was urgently sent to Hurley Medical Center, where he died.

Larry Teague and Bishop according to the latest data are still at large. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.

A reward of $ 1000 has been assigned for information that will help arrest criminals. According to Layton, both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

"We're confident we'll catch them," he said.

Genesee County Commissioner Bryant Nolden said Munerlin was active and loved at work. He called the killing "extremely meaningless."

“He didn’t bother anyone,” Nolden said of Munerlyn. “All he did was provide for his family.”
