A plane crashed in Alaska: five people died

Five people died in the crash of a small commuter plane in southwestern Alaska on Thursday, February 6th. Writes about it Fox News.

A pilot and four passengers on a Yute Air flight died during his crash. The names of the dead were not disclosed, the authorities notify the next of kin.

A commuter flight departed from the southwestern Alaskan community at Bethel to Kipnuk Village.

At first, the flight was declared late, and later the plane was found to have crashed about 12 miles (19,31 kilometers) southwest of the Tuntutulyak community.

Alaska's National Guard launched a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from Bethel to the crash site, Lt. Col. Candice Olmsted said.

Allen Kenitser, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said the Piper PA32 crashed under unknown circumstances.

Tuntutulyak is located approximately 435 miles (700 km) west of Anchorage.
