The plane didn't make it to Seattle because of the stench on board: the passengers were taken to hospital

Because of the terrible smell and complaints of passengers and crew members about breathing problems, Alaska Airlines aircraft had to make an emergency landing.

Boeing 737-900 operated a Chicago-Seattle flight. During the flight, an unbearable smell appeared in the cabin, due to which some passengers and crew had breathing problems. The pilot requested an emergency landing at Minneapolis International Airport - St. Paul.

After landing, the 12 passengers and crew members needed medical attention. Four were sent to the hospital for further health assessment.

Alaska Airlines said that after checking the cause of the smell could not be determined.

Airline representative confirmed Fox Newsthat passengers were accommodated on additional flights to Seattle.

After the incident with the airline Alaska Airlines followed by information that the flight of American Airlines had to return to Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, because of the unbearable smell in the cabin.

Recall that in January, several crew members of American Airlines were hospitalized after they felt a strange smell on board the aircraft. Shortly before landing at Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport, all members of the Airbus 320 crew complained of stench and feeling unwell. After landing, they were sent to the hospital.
