The actress died in intensive care without regaining consciousness. She was admitted to the hospital at the end of July with the flu. Miroshnichenko has since experienced cardiac arrest and has been in a medically induced coma on a ventilator.
Irina Miroshnichenko was born on July 24, 1942 in Barnaul, where her family had been evacuated during the war. In the mid-1940s, the family returned to Moscow. From the tenth grade, the future actress attended the studio at the Moscow State Theater. Lenin Komsomol (now the Moscow State Theater "Lenkom Mark Zakharov").
In 1961, Miroshnichenko entered the Moscow Art Theater School, and already in her third year she made her film debut in Georgy Daneliya’s film “I Walk Around Moscow.” In 1965, she was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Art Academic Theater of the USSR. M. Gorky.
After the separation of the troupe, Miroshnichenko remained in the team under the leadership of Oleg Efremov (now the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov) and continued to serve in it all these years.

The actress gained popularity thanks to the movie. In 1966, Irina Miroshnichenko played the role of intelligence agent Galina Ortynskaya in the film "They were known only by sight." She also starred in other films, including "Uncle Vanya", "Winter Cherry", "You never dreamed of ...", "Kremlin Chimes", "A soldier came from the front", "... And other officials", "Cranberries in sugar."
Colleagues note that despite the success in the cinema, Miroshnichenko preferred the theater.
“Although she, of course, starred in a lot of films, she has many iconic roles in cinema. But the main thing for her was serving the Moscow Art Theater, to which she devoted her whole life, ”said the deputy director of the Moscow Art Theater. A.P. Chekhov Vadim Vernik.
Film director Yegor Konchalovsky remembers the actress from early childhood.
“She appeared as a character in my life when my father was filming Uncle Vanya. She belonged to a cohort of Soviet stars, incredible Soviet beauties, for which the 1960s and 1970s were famous. She was an amazingly warm and sincere person, although I didn’t know her particularly well, more from the movies. For me, she was remembered as a real beauty even more than an actress, ”Konchalovsky noted.
