Netanyahu called on all countries to transfer embassies to Jerusalem

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on all countries, following the US, to transfer their embassies to Jerusalem, noting that in this way they will help achieve peace in the region.

According to RBC he said this during a speech at a reception in honor of the upcoming opening of the American Embassy in Jerusalem. Netanyahu quotes the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s press service on his page in Twitter.

“Transfer them to Jerusalem, because it is right and will contribute to the achievement of peace,” said the head of the Israeli government. “You cannot build a world on a foundation of lies, but only on a foundation of truth,” he added.

“The Israelis will be eternally grateful for his (US President Donald Trump) bold decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of [Israel] and place the [US] embassy here,” said the prime minister. The prime minister noted that Jerusalem for 3 for thousands of years was the capital of the Jewish people and for 70 years it was the capital of Israel.

American leader 6 December 2017 of the year recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and announced that the US Embassy would be moved to this city.
