A storm in the eastern part of the country led to power outages. The states of North and South Carolina suffered most from the strong wind, where 145 thousands of homes were left without electricity. All in all, 215 lost thousands of homes to electricity, AccuWeather reports.

Residents are being evacuated from dangerous areas. In addition, smoke from this fire has blanketed the eastern part of Arizona and the western part of the neighboring state of New Mexico, where a smoke warning has been issued in its largest city, Albuquerque, KRQE TV channel reports.
