Cheap Flights from the USA in 2025: Top Most Profitable Destinations

Airports are already setting records for congestion at the start of the year, but several destinations remain accessible to travelers in 2025. The publication talks about these destinations Travel & Leisure.

Flying to Charlotte, North Carolina, is now one of the cheapest options in the country, according to search engine Skyscanner. Domestic flights to the city start at $95.

In second place was Aguadilla in Puerto Rico, where tickets to paradise start at $122.

Another affordable option is Denver, Colorado, and it's perfect for the start of ski season. Flights to the mile-high city start at $158, according to Skyscanner.

Additionally, travelers can find flights to Hawaii's Big Island for as little as $172.

As for international destinations, one of the cheapest options was Valparaiso, Chile, with flights starting at $212. It was followed by Calgary, Canada, with flights starting at $271, Madeira, Portugal, starting at $273, and Marsh Harbour, Bahamas, with flights starting at $295.

While there are affordable options (and January is one of the most popular months for travel planning), Skyscanner reports that more than half of American travelers have difficulty planning a trip.

Laura Lindsay, global travel trends expert at Skyscanner, said: "Planning your next adventure is easy."

She recommends travelers use features like "explore all destinations" to expand their options and search for "cheapest month" if their plans allow for flexibility.

“We want 2025 to be the year that travel dreams finally come true,” Lindsay said.
