Two-meter white sharks literally filled the coast of Southern California. Recently, more than 20 predators swam to the shores of the beach in San Clemente, reports “Voice of America«.

Previously, sharks were spotted on the coast in Orange County. In San Diego, a case of shark attacks on humans was recorded.

Locals say that so many white sharks, swam to the shore, they have never seen. But such an invasion of predators, experts say aquarium in Long Beach, a seasonal phenomenon.

“Southern California is where sharks breed. Sharks come here to give birth to their young. Baby sharks can be up to one and a half meters long, and they spend the summer here feeding on fish. These sharks then migrate to the warm waters of Mexico,” says David Bader, director of educational programs.

In addition, experts say, the increase in shark population suggests a healthy coastal ecosystem.

“In recent years, people in California have learned to take care of the ocean and its ecosystem. Laws have been passed ranging from bans on the fishing of certain types of fish to bans on white shark fishing, both commercial and private fishing. Therefore, the population of white sharks has increased. We must understand that sharks are predators, and predators eat what they like, and they like to eat fish. And as long as we let the sharks do what they like, respecting them, everything will be fine,” added David Bader.

The ocean, scientists say, is the home of sharks, and man remains to accept this and be more careful.
