Didn't run to the toilet: Delta plane turned around due to passenger's diarrhea

On the evening of September 1, an Airbus A350 with 336 passengers on board took off on schedule, but was forced to turn around over central Virginia.
“This is a biohazard problem. We have a passenger who had a bout of diarrhea and it contaminated the entire cabin of the aircraft, so we are returning to Atlanta,” the pilot of DL 194 told air traffic control.

The Airbus 350 returned to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport a little more than two hours after departure, according to FlightAware.

Delta Airlines said the flight was delayed by 8 hours, but landed in Barcelona on September 2 at 17:16 pm local time without further incident.
“Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to get our passengers to their final destination,” a company spokesman said. “We sincerely apologize to our customers for the delay and inconvenience caused to their plans.”
This is not the first flight this summer where bodily fluids interfere with passengers. Air Canada issued an apology this week after two passengers were asked to sit on poorly cleaned seats that were covered in vomit on a previous flight.
The recent incident occurred on August 26 on a flight from Las Vegas to Montreal.

Just earlier, on June 30, a passenger on an Air France flight from Paris to Toronto discovered that the footrest of his seat was wet from the previous passenger's blood and diarrhea.
Habib Battah said that after sensing a strange smell, “reminiscent of manure,” he turned to the flight attendant. He was given wet wipes, and the passenger had to clean up the dirt himself. He was then offered business class blankets to soak up all the contents.
“We had to sit and smell blood for seven hours,” he said.
