Zoom videoconferencing called 911 to say they saw the baby and heard a noise before the woman, Shamaya Lynn, fell on her back, police said in a statement.
Lynn, 21, was killed on August 11 in Altamonte Springs, near Orlando.
“Investigators determined that the injury was caused by a child who found a loaded handgun that had been left in an unsecured area of the apartment,” Altamonte Springs police said in a statement. Lynn was shot in the head.

The police did not disclose who she was to the child, but journalists said she was his mother. The age of the child is from one to 3 years, it is not precisely reported.
Investigators said the gun belonged to the father of the victim's two young children. Not a single child was hurt.
The case is under investigation and no charges have been filed.
“If you have a firearm, please keep it locked,” said Officer Roberto Ruiz Jr. “Such incidents can be avoided.”

According to the organization Everytown for Gun Safety, there were at least 369 unintentional shots by children under the age of 18 last year, of which 142 people died.
In February in North Carolina, a 25-year-old mother of five was accidentally shot by her children after they found a gun in her purse.
In April, a 3-year-old boy in Houston discovered an unprotected firearm and fatally injured his 8-month-old brother.
