'Wear a mask between bites': California authorities give advice on safe dining
In the office of California Governor Gavin Newsom, residents were advised that if they go out to eat, they should wear a mask "between bites" to protect themselves from COVID-19, writes Fox News.
“Going out to dinner with family this weekend? the governor's office said in an Oct. 3 tweet. “Remember to keep your mask on between bites.”
For emphasis, an infographic was added to the tweet: a girl sits at a table wearing a mask and studies the menu, then takes off her mask and eats, after which she is again wearing a mask. At the same time, people are advised to "minimize the number of times you remove the mask."
In California, a number of counties have allowed restricted indoor meals to resume. Last week, San Francisco was allowed to dine on premises with a 25% load.
California has recorded over 800 cases and over 000 deaths due to the virus.

Many health experts have said that masks can reduce the spread of the virus, but wearing a mask is often the subject of controversy.
Meanwhile, Canada's chief physician last month suggested that people wear a mask during sex to protect themselves from the virus, as well as avoid kissing.
