Over the United States threatened to impose a state of emergency due to the shatdaun
The vice president of the United States noted that Democrats in Congress should begin negotiations.
US President Donald Trump did not decide whether to declare a state of emergency in the country in order to secure funding for the construction of a wall on the southern border of the United States. White House lawyers are considering the legality of a state of emergency, said Vice President Mike Pence on Monday.
"Democrats need to start negotiating," Mike Pence told reporters at a briefing, adding that President Trump had invited Democrats to the White House to discuss the administration's proposal to end the partial government shutdown in its third week.
Because of Trump and Congress’s disagreement over the financing of the border wall in the US for more than two weeks, the government has been partially closedBecause the executive and legislative branches cannot agree on a budget.
A possible source of funds necessary to finance the construction of the wall in the case of an emergency situation introduced by Trump could be the US military budget.
This year's “Shatdaun” has become the second longest in the country's history and has touched around 800 000 federal workers, many of whom will not be paid for the first time since this week.
Trump said he would not sign the law on financing closed agencies and would not open the government until a decision was made to finance the border wall between the United States and Mexico. Nancy Pelosi, the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, said the president "will not get a wall."
Pelosi said that this week the House will begin reviewing individual funding bills to reopen the government. One of these bills will be to finance the treasury so that employees of the Internal Revenue Service can return to work at the beginning of the tax return season.
Other bills will finance the opening of the departments of agriculture, housing and urban development, as well as internal affairs.
Meanwhile, hundreds of agents of the Transportation Security Administration refused to work at major airports throughout the United States, which resulted in collapse for thousands of passengers.
