In the eastern US, a tornado swept: there are victims
A tornado swept across the eastern side of Greensboro, North Carolina, destroying hundreds of buildings and killing at least one person.
Forecasters have not yet confirmed whether this natural phenomenon was actually observed in the city, but eyewitnesses have reported two tornadoes in Greensboro between 17: 00 and 18: 00 April 15, writes Journalnow.
At the moment, meteorologists are conducting research to find out whether the damage was caused by tornadoes or was caused by strong winds.
The weather resulted in one death - 48-year-old Anthony George, who was killed when a tree fell on his car, and two other people were injured in the same incident. Renee George, 49, who was in the same car, was injured, and Becki Combs, 48, was also injured when the same tree fell on her car. Both women's injuries are not life-threatening.

The weather service warned of the threat of a tornado in this region on the day of April 15. Strong winds and rains were observed all day in the city.
The storm led to serious destruction, knocking down many trees and power lines. Many areas of Greensboro are now closed while clearance work is underway.
All Guilford County schools are closed April 16 due to extensive damage and power outages at 15 schools. Three educational institutions - Erwin, Hampton and Peeler Open — severely damaged due to bad weather.

From many buildings in the city, the storm tore down the roof, damaged the walls, cars turned over in some streets by the wind.
Many residents of the city say that they have seen tornadoes, while some say they have not noticed anything except thunderstorms and rain.
As of the evening of April 15, about 23 000 homes and businesses in Greensboro were left without electricity. In addition, due to falling on the rut trees there were interruptions in the movement of trains.
