Heavy snowfall in the northeastern United States: up to 1 meter of snow is forecast
In the early hours of November 29, severe weather hit communities in the northeast. The snow caused at least one fatal traffic accident. Up to 1 meter of snow is predicted to fall, reports NBC.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York, said visibility will drop sharply during the peak travel period on the morning of Nov. 29, with 3 to 5 cm of snow expected per hour. Buffalo police said a winter weather advisory is in effect at 4 a.m. and said "motorists should exercise caution."
The NWS forecast on the morning of Nov. 29 said the hardest-hit areas would be south and southeast of Lake Erie before the snow moved north.
Police in Killington, Vermont, said a bus crashed into another vehicle on the afternoon of Nov. 28, killing one driver. Mark J. Candon, 71, of Rutland, Vermont, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus driver, 82-year-old Gary E. Gilmore of North Clarendon, and a passenger were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Heavy snowfall reached Pennsylvania, with Greene Township receiving nearly 28 inches of snow late on the evening of November 40th.
