An ice skating rink has opened on the White House lawn.
First Lady Jill Biden opened an ice skating rink on the South Lawn of the White House on November 29 as part of a holiday display at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The publication told in more detail CBS News.

Jill, who took to the ice in her boots, recalled that she and her sisters loved to skate on the Delaware River as children.
“What could be more magical, wonderful and joyful than being on the skating rink on the South Lawn of the White House!” - she said.

The skating rink will not be open to the general public, but the rink will welcome children from military families, frontline workers, first responders and local school students in December, according to White House officials.
Brian Boitano, Olympic champion and 1988 world champion from the United States, and Snoopy were present at the opening of the skating rink at the White House.
The Bidens are not the first presidential family to have a skating rink on the White House grounds.
In 1980, President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter also hosted a skating rink on the South Lawn.
This year's White House holiday theme is "Embrace Your Inner Child and Experience the Magic, Joy and Wonder of the Season." The White House currently has 98 Christmas trees, more than 142 lights, and nearly 000 ornaments.
