Visitors to the 95th annual National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan averted the disaster. At some point, the Magic Carpet ride began to sway back and forth, almost fully loaded. The problem is that the platform has come off the ground, but the reason is not yet clear.

A video posted on social media captured about a dozen people trying to get in front of the ride and stabilize it. And he stopped a few minutes later.

The operators stopped the ride after everyone was on the ground. It was dismantled by Friday morning, July 9th. The festival ended on Saturday, July 10th.
