In Alaska, the plane was gone with tourists. UPDATED

Making their way through the low cloud line, rescuers on board a military aircraft all Sunday tried to find a sightseeing plane that crashed with a pilot and four passengers on board. It happened on Saturday in Alaska, high on a ridge in the National Park and Denali Nature Reserve.

On satellite communications on the day of the crash, the pilot reported that there were wounded, but before the connection was interrupted, the authorities could not get more information, writes The Daily Mail. The de Havilland Beaver plane dropped at about six o'clock in the evening and is believed to have crashed near the top of the Thunder Mountain mountain with a height of 3322 meters, a Catherine Belcher park spokeswoman said.

There is still no word on the condition of the pilot and passengers. The tourists, whose names and nationalities were not disclosed, had to spend two nights on the mountain. By phone, Belcher said there was "low cloud cover" over the suspected crash site and that park officials were awaiting information from the HC-130 crew in the skies conducting the search.

Thunder Mountain is a knife-edge mountain ridge rising more than 900 meters above two glaciers, 22 kilometers southwest of the summit of Denali, North America's highest peak. The plane is reported to have sleeping bags, a stove, dishes, food and a first aid kit on board.

The air guard aircraft HC-130 flew over the coordinates that came from the transmitter of the crashed side locator and were called a pilot, said Lt. Col. Candice Olmsted of the Alaska National Guard. The signal arrived at the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center near 18: 00 on Saturday.

"Researchers still can't see anything because of the cloud cover between them and the plane," Olmsted said Sunday.

He also said that an HH-60 Pave Hawk air patrol helicopter with a rescue team, a National Park helicopter and another aircraft belonging to the private tour company K2 Aviation, which owns the crashed aircraft, will be involved in the search. K2 Aviation said it had canceled flight tours for now and said the entire team's "thoughts and feelings are with the families of our guests and the pilot involved in the incident."

The company, based in Talkeetna, Alaska, offers landings on glaciers.

ON MONDAY DAY, it became known that four people were killed in a plane crash in Alaska. This was reported by Anchorage Daily News, with reference to the US National Park Service.

The tragedy occurred on Saturday, 4 August, southwest of Mount Denali in the central part of the state. The circumstances of the crash are being investigated. It is noted that there was another passenger aboard the aircraft, however, bad weather conditions impede his search. All the victims were citizens of Poland.
