Georgia serial rapist tries to become a policeman in department looking for him
Police officers looking for a serial rapist in Georgia found him right under his nose - he tried to join their police department.
24-year-old Kenneth Thomas Bowen III attracted the attention of law enforcement only after he joined the Clayton County Police Department Academy in 2018. He was expelled after only a few months for being late and a constant lie.
Police considered Bowen's behavior "suspicious." They later found out that Bowen was a rape suspect in the city of Jonesboro. In 2015, there was a series of eight sexual attacks. Detectives noticed a “striking resemblance” between a photograph of Bowen and the photo-robots available to the police.
Seeing the similarities of Bowen's tattoos with a description of the suspect's appearance, the police received a warrant to take his DNA. The analysis confirmed the guy’s connection with all 8 attacks.

Bowen raped seven women and launched a sexual assault on another victim. He is now charged with all eight incidents. Officials said all attacks occurred within a two-mile radius of Bowen's Jonesboro home.
“If he hadn’t tried to join the Clayton County Police Department — it’s not known when we would have detained him, ” — said Clayton County Police Chief Kevin Roberts.
“We caught him! Clayton County citizens can rest a bit, knowing that the serial rapist was seized. — police wrote on Facebook last week.
