A man married 6 women to help them avoid deportation

Massachusetts' native 57-year-old Peter Hicks was arrested for having fictitious marriages with six women to help them evade immigration law. He writes about it New York Post.
Hicks, from 2003 to 2013, married women who were originally from African countries. Four of them he helped to issue a legal status of stay in the country. Some women were in the US illegally.
Prosecutors also say that in one case he was married to two women at the same time.
He was released after his first appearance in court in Worcester on Tuesday. If Hicks is convicted, then he faces a maximum of 5 years in prison. The man admitted that he was paid a reward for his marriage.
