On Sunday, June 23, the 10-month-old baby from Fresno (California) was shot in the head. The man got angry at the fact that the mother of the child rejected his courtship, the police said.
As Fresno police officer Jerry Dyer told reporters, baby Faith Percy was taken to a hospital, where she had an operation to remove bullet shards from her head. It is in a critical but stable condition.
The alleged shooting took place in a house in Fresno. According to police, the man tried to take the mother of the baby by the hand, but she refused signs of attention.
Later, the mother left the house with a child and a male friend, police said. When they were leaving, the suspect, 23-year-old Marco Antonio Echartea, started shooting at the car, police said.

"At some point as he approached, he pulled out a gun and fired three shots into the driver's side window," Dyer said.
“One of the bullets hit baby Faith, who was being held by her mother,” he added.
Police found the suspect near the house and arrested him on suspicion of three attempted murder.
It also turned out that he had been wanted since May of this year. The reasons for the search, the police did not disclose.
