Man lived for three months at Chicago airport due to fear of COVID-19
The man was arrested for having lived in the safe zone of O'Hare International Airport in Chicago for almost three months, writes New York Post.
The workers called the police, who arrested Singh, accusing him of criminal trespassing and theft, the newspaper said.
At a hearing on Sunday, January 17, the prosecutor said Singh was "afraid to go home because of COVID."
On the subject: He slept on the floor and food was given by employees: a tourist was stuck at the airport for 110 days due to coronavirus
According to representatives of the prosecutor's office, he also said that he had found an airport employee's badge.
It is unclear why Singh flew to Chicago at all.
A judge set a $ 1000 bail for Singh and ordered him not to visit O'Hare International Airport, the report said.
