However, the judges this argument seemed unconvincing.

Mr Kidwell expected the trial to end “fairly quickly” and did not think the case could drag on for so long.

At the same time, the prosecutor's office says that this is due to the fact that the case was considered by courts of various instances. In addition, it was necessary to conduct additional examinations and hearings due to the issue raised by the defense - all this delayed the trial.

“I'm tired of this system that oversteps ordinary people,” Kidwell says.

“I regret the lost funds. I just wanted justice."
