Moscow polyglot leaves for Israel because of Nazism

The famous polyglot teacher from Moscow Ilya Frank is repatriating to Israel. He claims that there is a “Nazi atmosphere” in Russia and increased anti-Semitism.

Ilya Frank said that he did not feel like a stranger in Russia. The fifty-two-year-old teacher did what he loved, adapting hundreds of books for Russian readers. But after the annexation of Crimea to Russia, according to Frank, a clearly pronounced Nazi atmosphere appeared in society. He states that this can be judged by the conversations of people on the streets, stickers on cars, inscriptions, books in stores. According to Frank, Russia is “infected with Nazism.”

His daughter is six years old, she will soon go to school, so the polyglot decided to urgently leave for Israel in order to prevent the child from studying at school with Nazi propaganda.

Ilya Frank's father is Jewish, and his mother is Russian. He declares that he is ready to work for the good of Israel and already feels not a stranger, but his own for this country.

The polyglot’s plans are to continue helping Russians learn foreign languages. He will continue to publish his books in Russia, regardless of his place of residence.
