Moscow homeless man leads a video blog to earn money

In Moscow, a homeless man in the capital, nicknamed Zhenya Yakut, registered on social networks and decided to become a blogger in order to earn a living and “realize his dream,” which he is not talking about yet.

43-year-old man began to lay out their videos in Youtube, and from 25 May more than 10 thousands of people have already subscribed to its channel, and the number of views exceeded 208 thousands.

Moving on foot in Moscow, Zhenya Yakut tells all the nuances of homeless life and shares tips on where to eat, wash, change clothes or find clean things for free. In search of free food, the man had the idea to create a video channel.

“I went to the station to warm up, I saw a TV there, they showed bloggers. It said that you can make money on a blog. It’s difficult to make money from views, here you have to make money from advertising, but I doubt that any advertiser will come and want to advertise,” he told reporters.

Nevertheless, the well-known Russian producer Kirill Reshetnikov, who is confident that advertisers will not keep themselves waiting if the number of views on the Zhenya Yakuta channel continues to grow, has become interested in the homeless initiative.

A young man who introduces himself as Andrei Voodoo, who acts as an operator, helps the man in his undertaking. While they are shooting videos on the camera of a smartphone, however, they plan to save money and rent more expensive and high-quality equipment.
