A powerful tornado hit the beach in South Carolina: there were tourists
Beach lovers experienced a frightening encounter with a tornado when it struck Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This is stated in the video CNN.
The video captures the moment when the tornado formed in the water near the coast.
Once on the shore in the form of a tornado, a strong wind lifted the beach furniture, and people had to run away from the beach.
No one was reportedly injured and the damage was deemed minor.
Some residents were delighted to see the tornado from a safe distance.
“It was very exciting to see a tornado right near my house. It came out onto the beach where I grew up and I saw it with my own eyes,” says eyewitness Andrew Elswick.
The National Weather Service confirmed that it was an EF-0 tornado with wind speeds of 75 miles (120 km) per hour.
