Young Russians can travel with discounts up to 50%
Starting in the autumn of 2016, young Russians between the ages of 14 and 30 will be able to receive traveler cards. Owners will be given discounts on tickets, accommodation, entertainment and communication services up to 50%. This initiative was launched by the Russian Union of Youth and the Public Chamber for the Development of Diplomacy and the Support of Compatriots Abroad.
The youth card will be tied to the mobile application: it will be possible to find out about current discounts and promotions. The application will also create guides for cities and regions with a list of attractions and a list of events that can be visited for free or at a special price.
According to the initiative group, the audience of the card will be 37 million people, and about 10 million will use it. Discounts will be provided by railway and airline companies, hotel chains, theaters, museum complexes, cafes and shops. Benefits will operate not only in Russia, but also in other countries of the world. Charity events volunteers will receive the biggest discounts.
