Moldavian oligarch will give a million dollars to those who live before 123 years

Dmitry Kaminsky, senior partner of the Hong Kong venture fund Deep Knowledge Ventures, promised a million dollars to anyone who can live to 123 years. Currently, scientists call the limit of the duration of human life age in 120 years.

Oligarch believes that ongoing research in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine will allow people to overcome the bar for life expectancy in 120 years.

“I hope that my prize will encourage scientists to find ways to increase life expectancy,” Kaminsky told the Daily Mail.

The billionaire added that current centenarians have a chance to see the beginning of the next century, if they can live to see the first scientific results on how to overcome the bar in 120 years.

Earlier, Kaminsky concluded a dispute with the general director of the biotechnology company Insilico Medicine Inc. Alex Zhavoronkov. According to the terms of the bet, a million dollars in the shares of Insilico Medicine will go to one of them who will live longer.
