The Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton) has been diagnosed with cancer. Kensington Palace объявилthat she is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
The princess recorded a video message in which she said the tumor was discovered during tests done following abdominal surgery she had in January. She said doctors initially thought her tumor was benign, but post-surgery tests showed it was malignant.
Kate started chemotherapy at the end of February.
In a video message, she admitted that it was difficult for her to cope with such news, but now she is ready to share this information and fight: “Of course, this has been a huge shock, and William and I are doing everything we can to understand and cope with this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this took time. I needed time to recover from major surgery and begin treatment. But most importantly, we needed time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that suited them, and to reassure them that I would be fine.”
“I told them that I am healthy and getting stronger every day by focusing on what will help me heal in mind, body and spirit,” the princess emphasized.
