Metal in meat: in eight states, chicken is massively recalled
In eight states, more than 2 million pounds (907 184,74 kg) of domestic chicken are being withdrawn. The reason was the fear that foreign bodies (metal) could be in the meat. Writes about this CNN with reference to federal health officials.
Simmons Prepared Foods, Inc., a manufacturing company based in Arkansas, recalled products manufactured from October 21 to November 4 this year.
In total, the volume of products recalled amounted to 2 071 397 pounds (939 569,87 kg), including ready-to-cook whole chicken legs, skinless and boneless chicken, halal chicken legs and chicken fillets.

Products subject to recall are identified by the establishment number “P-1949,” “P-486,” or “P-5837” on the USDA Inspection Mark. Here You can see how the sign looks.
Products were sold in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.
Those who purchase goods are strongly advised to discard them or return them to the store.
