Mexico is outraged by trump's sharp remarks
Mexico’s interior minister lashed out at businessman Donald Trump, who announced his decision to run for president of the Republican Party, calling his remarks on Mexico "prejudiced and absurd."
On Tuesday, the building magnate and broadcaster announced his intention to run for the 2016 presidential election of the year, giving a speech that contained many sharp remarks, including to Mexico.
So, Trump said that Mexico is not a friend of the United States, but he called Mexican migrants drug dealers and rapists.
The new candidate also promised to build a “huge wall on the southern border” of the United States and at the same time make Mexico pay for it.
“The comments of Donald Trump seem to me to be biased and absurd,” said Mexican Interior Minister Miguel Angel Osorio Chong, speaking to reporters at an anti-discrimination event in the capital of Mexico.
The minister added that Trump is obviously unaware of the positive contributions Mexican migrants make to the United States.
“In my opinion, Trump was only able to provoke a scandal, and not to propose an action plan,” he added.
