The most notable changes in Facebook are cosmetic. First, for the first time in many years, the social network has updated its logo - the branded letter F, which was previously placed in a square with rounded corners, will now be located in the blue circle. Color design of the site and applications will change: white color will prevail over blue. The usual arrangement of tabs will also change - in particular, “Events” and “Communities” will move to more visible places. These changes reflect the new concept of Facebook: the focus on using the service will be shifted from the update feed in favor of the user’s communication with each other.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, it is the communities that will become the central function in the new Facebook - therefore, in the application the corresponding tab is placed in the center. “Facebook has millions of active groups, and often when people find a suitable group, it is this experience that turns out to be the most significant for them,” Zuckerberg said. In order to improve interaction in communities, new functions and tools will appear on Facebook - in particular, they will allow you to find the right groups and meet people with similar interests.
