How Much Can You Make on Vending Machines in the US: An Entrepreneur's Personal Experience

Ohio-based Brandon Schlichter shares his tips for building a successful business on social media, where he has amassed an army of devoted fans who hang on his every word. His motto is to work smarter, not harder, writes Daily Mail.

Schlichter owns two vending machines that cost him $1400. One sells sodas, the other sells snacks. Schlichter said he makes how much money he makes from the machines each week.

An enterprising businessman known as @investmentjoy explained that he buys soda for 50 cents a can and sells it for $1.

He hires a person to restock the machine and just collects the proceeds each week, which he demonstrated in one of his viral videos.

Shlikhter showed the process of collecting the proceeds for the week, counting coins and bills. The final amount was $249 for the week of "work", which gives about $900 per month.
"Not bad for a week if you've done nothing," he declared triumphantly.

In addition to his extra income from the machines, Schlichter owns a laundromat and a roofing company.

Vending machines are becoming popular among people looking to make extra money.

Earlier, South Carolina resident Jade Davis told how she bought a vending machine for just $250 and, selling snacks for about 50 cents apiece, earned almost $150 in three weeks.

In her TikTok video, Davis said she and her fiance, Will, purchased a vending machine and headed to Sam's Club, where they spent $315 on snacks and another $45 on an annual membership.
The total initial budget was $615—quite a steal considering the vending machines themselves can cost over $1000, according to NerdWallet.

The pair continue to add new items to the machine based on suggestions from TikTok users, sharing insights into which products are popular (like Honey Buns, Nutty Buddies, and Goldfish) and which have proven unprofitable, like Cheese Sticks and Skittles.

The young people are encouraging others to get into the on-demand snack business.

Another vending machine enthusiast, Marcus Graham, makes $300 a year, which he wrote about in a CNBC column in 000.

Graham said he lived with his mother in Rochester, New York, and worked as a manager for $17 an hour. He hoped to save money to buy real estate for passive income.

“But one day I got an idea for a side hustle when I saw a woman taking money out of a vending machine.”

He later moved to Philadelphia and bought two machines, which earned him $5000 in the first year.

Graham now operates 21 machines in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit and Washington, and plans to gross more than $50 in sales by the end of the year.

He also launched an online course on how to start a vending machine business and sells an e-book about it. Graham has made $90 selling his course and now plans to offer one-on-one training and consulting programs.

His goal is to expand the business to other states, build a team, and eventually open his own vending machine warehouse.
