Magadan wants to return to the old time zone
The government of the Magadan region conducted a sociological study and found that the majority of residents of the region have a negative attitude to the recent change of time zone and insist on changing it.
According to the survey, fifty-eight percent of Kolyma residents have a negative attitude towards the transfer of the region to the ninth time zone (plus seven hours Moscow time) in October 2014. The same number of respondents believe that the Magadan region should go into the tenth zone, that is, to transfer time an hour ahead.
The government of the Magadan region notes that according to the results of a sociological survey, the possibility of contacting the State Duma with a proposal to change the time zone of the region will be considered.
