American found a kidney donor right in a hockey match
American Kelly Sovatski found a kidney donor thanks to a banner she brought to the National Hockey League match.

In March, 2018, a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, came to the game of her favorite team against Montréal Canadiens with a poster that read: “Hockey fans! I need a kidney! Yours sincerely, Kelly, writes Lenta.ru report.
The press service of the Pittsburgh Penguins published a photo of Sovatski with a poster on the team page in the microblog Twitterand she became viral.

As a result, the publication saw a Delaware resident Jeff Lind. He contacted the girl on the phone number listed on the poster and offered her his kidney for free. It took eight months to settle all the issues, and an operation was performed on November 11 by Sovatski. At present, both the donor and the girl feel normal.
On Christmas Eve 2015, Sovatsky caught an infection that caused blood poisoning. Her kidneys and lungs began to fail, but the doctors managed to stabilize her condition. Nevertheless, the girl needed a kidney transplant, she was put on a waiting list at the hospital, but this could take years.
The situation was complicated when the kidney disease began to progress. An American could not wait for a donor from the hospital, so she decided to ask for help from hockey fans.
