What is the best job for 2016?
Jobs in medicine occupy a leading position in the United States, according to the annual rating of the journal US News & World Report.
Nine of the first ten places are occupied by health care jobs. The exception is the vacancy of computer analyst, which ranked third.
For the compilation of the rating, data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics is used. Among other things, the average wage, the demand for jobs, the ability to keep a balance between work and personal life were taken into account.
According to Time, the demand for specialties in medicine is explained by the fact that representatives of the “baby boom” generation, born in the post-war years (1946-1960), are aging and require more medical care.
The top ten also includes the specialties of nursing and medical assistant, for which you do not need to study for 8 years and pay six-figure sums for training. If we talk exclusively about salaries, the highest paid specialty in medicine is an anesthesiologist (9th overall in the ranking) - on average about $246 thousand per year.
Outside the medical sector, marketing managers (# 13) earn the most with average incomes of $ 127 thousand.
The high-tech industry is another active job provider. Programmers, developers and technical staff are highly demanded in the market.
The top ten rankings are as follows:
- Orthodontist
- Dentist
- Computer analyst
- Anesthetic Sister
- Medical Assistant
- Feldsher
- Psychiatrist
- Pediatrician
- Anesthetist
- Obstetrician-gynecologist
