Russia violated the airspace of the NATO countries three times a week: Britain raised fighters

The Royal Air Force of Great Britain for the third time this week raised two of its fourth-generation Typhoon fighters over the Black Sea in order to escort Russian aircraft. This is stated in the message on the website of the British Air Force, writes RBC.

The incident, according to representatives of the Ministry, occurred on the morning of August 25. First, according to their data, the Russian military transport aircraft An-26 approached the border of the airspace of the NATO country - Romania, and behind it - the anti-submarine Be-12. "Typhoons", as indicated in the message of the British military, took off from the airbase "Mikhail Koghelnichanu" in Romania.

“This is the third time this week, when the Royal Air Force’s aircraft within the framework of NATO’s mission to patrol airspace were raised in order to curb the provocative actions of Russian planes and reassure Romania and its allies in the alliance,” the statement said.

"Typhoons", as noted by the pilot of one of the British fighters, were lifted into the air in order to "resist the invasion of Romanian airspace over the Black Sea from the east of the proposed Russian aircraft" (later it was identified as An-26). According to the pilot, he was followed by another Russian aircraft.

“Typhoons” conducted it in Romanian airspace, all activities were carried out safely and professionally on both sides, ”the pilot concluded.

Earlier, similar incidents took place over the Black Sea 22 and August 23. For the first time, the British fighters raised for pursuit of the Russian Su-30, the second time they accompanied the Russian Be-12. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on this information, but in response to this, the British Embassy in the UK accused the “provocative activity” of the British Air Force. In connection with the actions of London, Russian diplomats expressed bewilderment.
