The legend of Russian rock - the group "Bi-2" comes to America on a large tour. The musicians planned 7 concerts in cities on the east and west coasts of the United States. For more than 30 years, Leva Bi-2 and Shura Bi-2 have been bringing rock to the masses. They will perform the best of the best for their American fans. On the eve of the tour, the leaders of Bi-2 gave an exclusive interview to ForumDaily.

The tour with which you come to the USA is called BEST OF, and the program promises the most famous hits. Do you own the same songs that your listeners have chosen, or is your personal hit parade different from the choice of the public?

All our songs are dear to us - each of them is special for us, best of if you want. After all, each composition is a certain story, a certain period of our life.

So, we will entrust the creation of personal charts to our fans, and the professional charts to radio stations and music magazines.

Tell us about BEST OF within your own life. What 5 events would be in the hit parade of your life?

There are many more such events than 5. Of course, these are all important and turning points: meeting in a theater studio in Minsk, moving to Israel and then to Australia, recording our first album. But the most important thing, the truly Best of the event, is, of course, the birth of children.

Is there a collective image of your listener and viewer?

We have a very diverse and multi-age audience, which is very nice! Someone has been listening to us for more than 15 years, for someone our first album has become, for example, the album # 16plus. It's cool that our music is close to different generations - both to 16 + and 16 fans. Sometimes our families come to our concerts, someone brings their children, someone - their parents.

What kind of music do your children listen to?

Lyova Bi-2:

My children love different modern music, mostly hip-hop listen ...

Shura Bi-2:

Mine listen to Michael Jackson, but they take our songs quite calmly. But they love to perform with us! My daughter Eva, for example, sometimes becomes a special guest at our concerts and sings a duet with me. We worked with her and prepared. In order to accustom a child to any system or activity, you need to present it as a game - to interest him: do you want to perform with dad? Then you need to make some effort - go to a teacher and study. And only then will there be a stage and even your own dressing rooms! When children performed with us in Moscow, they had everything like real artists, even better: each child had their own dressing room, and in it there were sweets, cakes, even animators!

Leva Bee-Xnumx:

I don’t even remember, frankly, how the idea came about. It is spontaneous, naturally. Shurik first brought Eve to the stage. And then I thought, why not try it.

And who are legendary musicians for you?

Shura Bi-2: Many who! John Lennon, David Sylvian, Ian Curtis, Robert Smith and many, many others. By the way, when Cure played in Moscow for the first and only time, we played huge festivals in another city that day. We had to close it, but we specifically asked the promoters to postpone our performance in the morning in order to catch the Cure concert and meet with Robert.

Can you already name the greatest achievement in your creative life or is it still to come?

The main achievement in the creative life, all the most interesting is always ahead. After all, if you think that you have achieved everything, why should you do something further? It will not be interesting ...

Is it true that the stars who starred in your “Hipster” video did not know that they were all participating in the project together? And wasn’t there a scandal afterwards?

True! The video was filmed 3 of the day, and many of the artists did not overlap with each other. The question was only Vova Shahrin, well, such a good, human. Says: "Well, how are you with Kirkorov ...?". I told him: "Well, it's fun!". On this and agreed. Everything really turned out fun.

You are writing for a movie, but you are not filming yourself yet. Why such a mess?

Shura Bi-2: This is wrong. We have acted in films more than once - mainly as ourselves, as the group “Bi-2”. For example, in the film “What Men Talk About,” for which we wrote the soundtrack, or in the TV series “Londongrad.” In the comedy “Election Day” we played a fictional group, and in the film “Moms-3” we got roles that had nothing to do with music at all - I played the ex-husband of the heroine Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, and Levchik - her new boyfriend. But, of course, there is much more of our music in films than of us as actors, you can’t argue with that.

In many cities you come not for the second, and not for the third time. Where are you going on tour with the greatest pleasure?

We go to every city in Russia - and not only - with great pleasure. But, of course, there are also special, dear cities for us - places where many relatives, childhood friends, in general, people close to us come to our concerts. It is always especially pleasant for them to perform!

Not for work, but for the soul, where would you like to go to relax?

Lyova Bi-2: I spend my free time with my family - my wife and children. I often go to Spain, because children study there. And this summer, for example, my family and I were in Norway, sailed on a ship and looked at the fjords ...

Shura Bi-2: My children are in San Diego in America for half a year, so, as a rule, I also spend holidays with them. For kids, there is paradise - Legoland is in 20 minutes away, and Disneyland is one and a half hours away. In January I will fly to them again for a month, and then the vacation will smoothly turn into our America tour.

Tell us what you enjoy the audience at your concerts in the US?

The name of the program - Best of - speaks for itself: we will perform our main songs or greatest hits. These are compositions from all our albums - from the first records to the latest edition #16plus. There will also be 2 new songs that are already very familiar to the Russian public - “Laiki” and “Alice”. For the Best of concerts, we have also prepared a special original scenography and a new light show - we will also bring all this with us to America.
