Seattle resident Cathy Van Flit said her identity had been stolen more than a dozen times since the hacker attack and data leakage from the company. Equifax 2017 early years.

Based on the timing of these crimes, a woman’s lawyer suggests that they are related to a data breach in Equifax, so they sued this company, accusing it of negligence.

To protect against the theft of her data, Van Flit filed a complaint with the police and froze her credit lines, after which, according to her, the theft of her identity ceased.

According to Equifax, In total, due to data leaks, hackers could have stolen the 145,5 personal information of millions of Americans, including their names, social security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, driver's license numbers and, in some cases, even credit card numbers.
