A resort in Italy compensates tourists for a visit there: how to relax almost for free

Italy is a land of stunning natural beauty, impressive art and landmarks, unique architecture and fashion, delicious food and hospitable people. And if these reasons aren't enough to convince you to take a trip to Italy, now you have another incentive.

In an effort to reach more and more tourists, as this is one of the least visited areas in Italy, officials will pay for train fares for tourists from anywhere in Italy and, as an additional incentive, issue tourists a special card that allows free admission to museums, public transport and gives many discounts to visits to local attractions and other places.

To receive these bonuses, all you have to do is:

• Book at least two nights in a hotel, holiday apartment or guesthouse that is part of the program.
• Purchase tickets from any part of Italy to any of the five stations via the Trenitalia Line (Latisana-Lignano-Bibione, Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado, Trieste Airport, Trieste Centrale or Udine).

Reservations must also be made only on the site. turisofvg.it/trenitalia.

Please note that in terms of fare coverage, bookings must be made no later than five days before departure, and there are dates when the offer is not valid, such as Christmas and Easter.
